Louis astorg - PhD candidate
Incorporating Evolution into Invasion Biology: Native species resilience in face of exotic invasion
Louis earned his BSc in biological sciences from the University Pierre et Marie Curie. He completed his MSc in Oceanography and Marine ecology at University Pierre et Marie Curie. During his MSc, he worked on ecosystem health index using food web models (Ecopath with Ecosim) under the supervision of Nathalie Niquil at the University of Caen. He then worked on the morphological adaptations of threespine stickleback in temporally variable environments using geometric morphometrics tools at McGill University supervised by Andrew Hendry.
For his PhD, Louis is studying eco-evolutionary dynamics in ionic gradients using ecological and genomic approaches on different invertebrates organisms.
